Spread Her Wings

Posted in Christian Life, and Photography

Project 365 – #104 Is it by your understanding that the hawk soars and spreads his wings toward the south? Is it at your command that the eagle mounts up and makes his nest on high? On the rock he dwells and makes his home, on the rocky crag and stronghold. From there he spies out the prey; his eyes behold it from far away. ~Job 39:26-29~ There is something majestic about a hawk soaring overhead.  The hawks ride the currents – drifting up, down, and side-to-side.  While the hawks are being carried by the wind, they are closely scanning…

Project 365 – #103 Since the temps are supposed to be on the rise this week, Munchkin and I decided that we’d head over to the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge on Tuesday.  D had hoped that he would be able to go with us, but his work schedule didn’t allow him to get away.  As we were getting things ready to leave, Munchkin asked if she could see if her friend could go with us.  I told her that it was fine to ask, so Munchkin ran next door to find out if she could join us on our adventure. …

Driving through Kofa

Project 365 – #102 On Saturday, we headed over to Kofa National Wildlife Refuge.  We wanted to do a little exploring in some of the areas where we hadn’t gone previously.  We’re trying to fit in a few more fun family outings before D’s surgery right after Easter. We had fun taking pictures and just looking at all of the beautiful scenery. The gorgeous fluffy white clouds against the brilliant blue skies were breath-taking. We even saw some interesting clouds.  We thought this one looked like a funny face.  What do you think?

The Lord is My Rock

I have a dear online friend – a Marine Mom – who is struggling right now.  Her son is deployed, so she’s dealing with the stress brought on by that.  In addition to that stress, she’s struggling with health and other issues.  I’m praying, but I wanted to publically show some support and let her know that she’s loved.  This picture is for her. Semper Fi, Marine Mama!  The Lord is on your side, and you have many prayer warriors who have your back.

A Sunday Drive

Posted in Family, Outdoor Adventures, and Photography

Project 365 – #101 On Sunday afternoon, we decided to go out for a nice drive.  Our first destination plan was Martinez Lake as we had never headed over there.  Upon arrival, we decided that we would just keep on going to the Imperial National Wildlife Refuge instead.  We were a little disappointed that the visitor center wasn’t open.  (Apparently, it’s closed on the weekends after March 31st.)  The disappointment didn’t last long as we found a beautiful picnic area right by the water. The breeze coming off the water mixed with the warm air to create a pleasant environment…
