An Interesting Horseback Ride

Posted in Family, Outdoor Adventures, and Photography

Project 365 – #214 Grandpa decided that he wanted to take us all horseback riding.  Munchkin has really, really wanted to go riding for some time, but it just never seemed to work out for various reasons.  Well, this trip, she got the opportunity to go riding while we were up visiting the Grand Canyon.  To say she was excited would be a major understatement.  We arrived at the stables with cloudy skies overhead, but we had high hopes for a great ride. We took some pictures and saddled up for the ride.  Unfortunately, my one niece was a little…

Arizona Homeschool Convention

Project 365 – #213We were blessed to be able to attend the Arizona Homeschool Convention while our family was here to visit.  Munchkin was a little torn on what to do as she really wanted to hear Ken Ham speak in person, but she also very much wanted to spend time with her cousins and aunt and uncle.  In the end, hanging out with her cousins won out.  **grin**  Grandpa and Grandpa joined D and I at the convention. As Munchkin and D finished their breakfast, I read the scripture passages that we were studying that day.…

Family Mexican Night

Posted in Gluten Free, Homemaking, and Photography

Project 365 – #211 It’s always nice to have an easy theme night.  Around our house, Mexican food is a favorite.  Plus, it’s an easy meal to put together.  Often, I’ll just make up all of the fixings, and everyone just creates the meal that they want that evening.  The meals may include: nachos, tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, taco salads…  I serve it up with some yummy fresh salsa and chips for a fun family Mexican night that everyone enjoys.
