Growing up, I remember how much I enjoyed seeing American flags blowing in the wind. When I became a military spouse, those flags took on a whole new meaning as I had a better understanding of the sacrifices behind that flag, behind our freedoms. In honor of Armed Forces Week, I thought it would be fun to post a couple of pre and post-deployment pictures for Throwback Thursday. The goodbye kiss – before the tears were shed.
