Yorktown Battlefield
Posted in Family, and Homeschooling
Once again, Munchkin participated in the Junior Ranger program. We were a little rushed during our time at the Yorktown Battlefield as they closed too soon after our arrival from Jamestown. We attended a very interesting guided tour as part of the program. Unfortunately, this tour was going to run until after the park closed. We left a little early and asked ranger if she’d be willing to sign off on Munchkin’s work even though she still hadn’t completed all of the activities. She agreed since we planned on completing the activities after the visitor’s center had closed. The Yorktown…
Historic Jamestown

Here are some pictures from our trip to Historic Jamestown. Munchkin really enjoyed working on the Junior Ranger program. I like this program because it helps us focus on the main highlights at the National Parks. We’re trying to figure out a good way to display the patches that Munchkin has earned through this program. Historic Jamestown has some free lesson plans available. What a Beautiful Day!
Posted in Homeschooling, and Thoughts
We had yet another beautiful day for Munchkin’s ball game. It was suppose to rain on Saturday, so that was a very pleasant surprise. Munchkin enjoyed playing 1st and pitcher today. She also played right field, but that’s not a favorite position. She was tickled that she had 2 times at bat and 2 base hits. She’s decided that baseball is her favorite sport. (At least, it is for now…) Run!! She had a great base hit, but… …it was really, really close. Whew!! She’s safe!! Daddy helped out with pitching in 2 out of the 3 innings. Munchkin loved…
