Yorktown Battlefield

Posted in Family, and Homeschooling

Once again, Munchkin participated in the Junior Ranger program. We were a little rushed during our time at the Yorktown Battlefield as they closed too soon after our arrival from Jamestown. We attended a very interesting guided tour as part of the program. Unfortunately, this tour was going to run until after the park closed. We left a little early and asked ranger if she’d be willing to sign off on Munchkin’s work even though she still hadn’t completed all of the activities. She agreed since we planned on completing the activities after the visitor’s center had closed.

The Yorktown Battlefield National Park offers a free teacher’s guide that has lots of great information about the Revolutionary War. You can learn more about Redoubts 9 & 10 as well as Surrender Field here.
