Make It From Scratch Carnival #5

Meal Plan Monday

For the next couple of days, D is home so we’ll be eating a bit more hearty meals. When he’s gone, we tend to eat easier meals. Here is my menu for this week: 1. Salisbury Steak, potatoes, green beans 2. Chicken, stuffing, veggie bake 3. Cheese & Veggie Quasedillas 4. Grilled Chicken or Steak with veggies & baked potatoes 5. Popcorn chicken with veggies & dip 6. Soup and sandwiches 7. Chicken (or tuna) salad All items subject to change do to crazy schedules. Hope you all have a great week!!!

Make It From Scratch: Bubbles

If you saw my post about the Children’s Museum, you know that my daughter LOVED the bubble area the most. When we arrived home, she wanted to make big bubbles. Unfortunately, it’s pretty hard to make big bubbles with your standard bubble solution sold at stores. It’s just too weak. So off to the internet I went searching for the perfect bubble solution, when I came across The Bubblesphere. They have all kinds of information on bubbles and bubble solutions. Phase 1 of Floor Project: Complete!

Here’s what I started with this morning. After an hour and a half, I am pleased to show the completed project for this stage. I get to surprise D with a “finished” floor removal.Now, we’re off to the other house to do laundry and get ready for D’s arrival home for the weekend. We’ll be heading back here tomorrow with Daddy!!!

Today’s Floor Progress

Here’s today’s Tackle It Tuesday progress report… I was able to get a chunk of the kitchen done in about an hour. I didn’t strip this all the way down to the floor. I’m going to see if what D thinks before going any further down. (Please excuse the mess… it’s a work in progress…) Just imagine what I could get done if I set my mind to it. lol! I like to tackle it a little at a time for the sake of my lungs and body.
