Snap Fashion Jewelry Giveaway

Two girls on a warm spring afternoon + Snap Fashion Jewelry = Lots of creative fun Last week, we received a Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio kit from SmartLab Toys.  Due to our crazy week, we didn’t have the opportunity to pull it out until Monday afternoon.  Munchkin and her friend were happily playing with their American Girl Dolls when I slipped outside and told them I had a special craft for them.  Their faces lit up as they totally enjoying doing different crafts together.  They quickly checked out the idea and instruction book.  This took them a bit of time…

Bountiful Baskets

Project 365 – #113 Yum!  We picked up our first Bountiful Basket order this morning.  All of the veggies and fruit look so delicious.  We’ll definitely be enjoying them this weekend.  In addition to the regular order, we also ordered a case of bananas.  We’ll eat quite a few now and I’ll freeze more for smoothies later. We’re heading out to a local lake to go fishing, so I really need to get moving.  Have a blessed Easter weekend!

Modified Square Foot Garden

Project 365 – #111 Since we’re going to be home on a regular basis for the spring/summer this year, Munchkin and I decided that we would go ahead and plant a garden.  We knew that it would need to be a raised bed garden due to the soil conditions, so on Tuesday we headed over to Lowes to pick up some lumber, soil, and plants.  Once we arrived home, we started the project. Munchkin’s Birthday Cake

Project 365 – #109 As I had stated before, Munchkin requested a carrot cake for her birthday.  I was unable to get my hands on my normal gluten free carrot cake mix (Simply Organic), so I tried a recipe that I found while at the gluten free expo.  The cake tasted good, but was a bit more dense and dry than I prefer.  I think I’ll keep trying for a better gluten free carrot cake from scratch. Combining Homeschool with Housework

Project 365 – #095 One of the things that I quickly learned as a new homeschooler is that I can’t do it all.
