I know that I’ve talked about Bountiful Baskets on a variety of occasions, but I’m going to talk about it again. Our latest basket included a nice variety of fall vegetables and fruits. The extra that I really liked this time around was the fresh herbs. I’ve missed cooking with fresh herbs, so this was rather exciting for me. I now have cilantro, basil, oregano, rosemary, dill, sage, and parsley. The kitchen smells so good with the cilantro, parsley, and basil sitting on the counter. Looking back on the founding of our country, we can see that our founding fathers did indeed believe that God, the Creator, should be part of our lives, our country. As we celebrate the Independence of our great nation, we need to reflect on how this nation was founded. Our own declaration of independence gives us some clues into the thought process of those who helped create the backbone of our nation.
