Setting Goals for the 2011-2012 Homeschool Year

The 2011-2012 homeschool year here at Semper Fidelis Academy is well under way.  We’ve already changed a few things since I posted our homeschool plans for the year.  One of the biggest changes is probably dropping the renewable energy study and beginning the horse study.  I need to do some more work on the renewable energy study to make it more independent study friendly for Munchkin.  I can’t say that she’s bummed to be starting the horse study sooner rather than later.  She was blessed with some excellent horse resource books from Grandma, so she’s happily reading and studying. I’ve been having fun playing around with a new digital scrapbooking program. (Review and giveaway should be posted this week.) I started looking through the photos that I took this past weekend when we went horseback riding and came across this photo of Munchkin and Daddy. I knew that I wanted to do something with it. Last weekend was a fun long weekend for us which is why I missed a few days of posting.  Grandma and Grandpa came to Arizona for business, so we headed over to spend some time with them.  Grandpa decided that it would be fun for us all to go horseback riding while they were here.  Due to the fact that it’s still rather warm here, we had to get up early in the morning, but we all agreed that it was worth it.  It was nice that we avoided the thunderstorms that took place during our last horseback riding adventure.…
