Visiting Joshua Tree National Park: Keys View

Posted in Family, and Outdoor Adventures

Our adventures with the family began on Monday when we headed over to Joshua Tree National Park. We decided that we’d check out Keys View during this particular trip. Of course, we made a few stops along the way to do a little exploration. The girls had fun climbing on both the rocks and trees which lead to plenty of photo opportunities. D had a blast leading the way. We had to periodically remind him that he had some littles that weren’t used to climbing and who didn’t have the right footware this time around. lol! It was quite warm…

A CA Family Adventure

Last week, we had the opportunity to hang out with family (my Dad, Stepmom, nieces, and Grandma) who decided to spend some vacation time with us in CA. Palm Desert was our base camp for the week, so our adventures stemmed out from that point. I haven’t seen my Grandma since Munchkin was quite little, so that was an extra special treat. As she told me just the other day, she needs the special attention and understanding that only Daddy can provide. Yesterday, I was thankful that Daddy was home with us, and that we could spend the day relaxing…

First Veggies of the Season

Between being in a new state and using a new medium for growing, I wasn’t sure how well our new veggies would grow, so this really was just a test run for us. We planted a few tomato plants (which haven’t done very well due to critters), some sage, some mint, a few pepper plants, some potatoes, and lots of squash seeds. Slowly we watched the herbs and squash grow. Pretty soon, the squash was taking over the one…
