Today’s tackle is a different sort of tackle for us. The tackle all stems from our studies today and some reading that Munchkin has been doing… Our first tackle was running to the grocery store to get the ingredients that she needed to make her new recipes from the Incredible Edible Gluten Free Food for Kids book that she’s reading. You receive a package in the mail that contains a new dictionary and your child responds: “OOOOOHHHHH COOOOOOOOL!!!” Yes, yesterday we received our brand new Webster’s 1828 Dictionary via UPS. We were both very excited. My daughter immediately had to show it to her cousin (they were doing a video chat) as she thought it was really cool. As soon as she was done chatting with her cousin, she took the dictionary to my room and started looking through it.

Family Time

Munchkin and I headed out to the Peach Orchard to go peach picking today. Neither one of us has been peach picking before, so we had a great time. We’ve really enjoyed our special time together this week. Wednesday we enjoy picking lots and lots of blueberries and blackberries. Thursday, we had a fun Wild Food Walk and Talk field trip. We had a blast learning about edible plants in the wild. I don’t feel comfortable just picking plants and eating them yet, but it definitely peaked our interest. I’ll be looking for a good guide in the near future.…
