Thankful Thursday: Gifts and Love

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

This week, I’ve been reading the 5 Languages of Love by Gary Chapman and the 5 Languages of Love for Children . We’re also working on discovering Munchkin’s gifts using Discover Your Children’s Gifts by Don & Katie Fortune. Reading these books and doing some additional studies in the Bible has truly made me grateful that God made us all unique and that he gave us each a gift to better serve him and others. “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Last night, I sat in bed reading, studying, and praying. Munchkin was feeling really low as she went to bed. She was really missing her Daddy. She misses talking to him before bed at night, so we cuddled a bit longer. Extra hugs and kisses were in order as well as a nice long back rub. I needed to think of special way to bring her up and remind her that even when Daddy can’t be with her, her Heavenly Father will always be there. We are able to lift each other up and pray for one another. We are given the gift of fellowship with other believers. We are given the chance to open our hearts to the will of God as the Holy Spirit uses other bloggers to reach out to us. I…

Where Did I Go????

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

I woke up Thursday morning to a laptop that was no longer working (again), so after just picking it up on Monday, I headed back over to the shop to drop it off yet again…. My “back-up” computer is having some issues of it’s own, so once again, my time is limited. On a more positive note, D arrived home early afternoon on Thursday and was able to go to the airport with us to pick up my Dad and Stepmom from the airport. We’ve head an absolutely wonderful weekend. I’ll try to write more later on all of our…
