Foto Friday Challenge: Architecture

Posted in Family, and Photography

I have to admit that I have nothing new for this week.  I just couldn’t get out and about to snap pictures of some of the interesting buildings and homes around here.  Instead, I offer some pictures from when we were at the Grand Canyon.  All these images were taken at the Desert View Watch Tower. Family Movie Night: Secrets of the Mountain

Posted in Family, and Reviews

We enjoy having family movie nights at our house.  It’s fun to sit down as a family and watch a great movie.  All too often lately movies seem to contain at least some material that we would prefer to avoid.  I had heard great things about Secrets of the Mountain, so I was optimistic when we received it to watch. I liked that Walmart had partnered with Proctor & Gamble to produce a family friendly movie.  The great news is that this isn’t a one time partnership.  They are going to be producing a series of family friendly movies. Why is it so hot in here?

After pictures, it was time to head over to the baseball field for the game.  It was warm, but not as hot as last week.  The players were…

My Mother’s Day 2010

Posted in Family, and Holidays

While Munchkin and D show me appreciation for the things I do every day, they make a special effort on Mother’s Day to make the day great for me.  In get spoiled with extra attention and little gifts from Munchkin.  This year, this picked out this huge singing card that was hilarious!!  In addition to the card, Munchkin arranged these flowers for me from a bouquet from the store.  I think she did a great job. We spent most of the day just relaxing and spending time together as a family.  To me, that is a wonderful way to spend…

Happy Mother’s Day!

Munchkin is getting so big.  While you can’t tell it in this picture taken on Easter Sunday, she’s nearly as tall as me now.  She’s growing physically, mentally, and spiritually.  She is truly a blessing to me.  I am so grateful that the Lord trusted us with this precious child.  Children truly are a gift from God. Happy Mother’s Day!!
