Relaxing Camping Trip

Posted in Family

To make things relaxing and enjoyable for all, we kept things very simple this time out.  Even though we took out our trailer, I packed like we were heading out tent camping.  Our meals were very simple with very little prep work necessary.  D made his yummy eggs, bacon, and fried potatoes for breakfast.  For our other meals, we just hand sandwiches and grilled cheese with fruit and chips. Munchkin decided that she wanted to take her bicycle with us, so she had a blast riding her bike all over the place. Since we were out in the desert, she…

Camping, Riding, Stress Relief

D’s had an busy week at work.  He was suppose to be heading out of town for a conference, but things at work kept him from going.  We decided that we needed a little break to allow him to get away from everything, so we’re heading out for a short overnight camping trip.  He plans on doing a little of this… We plan on doing a little exploring.  Mainly, I plan on relaxing and reading.  I’m sure Munchkin will make sure we have games on hand to play. I did a bunch on baking on Friday to allow us to…

Fun before the Goodbye

Today, we had to say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa.  D decided to take Grandpa for a spin in the side-by-side before they left.  Then, Grandpa took Grandma for a spin.  Of course, we couldn’t let the opportunity to snap a few pictures pass by, so we took a few pictures in the RZR. It was a tearful goodbye, but we all are very grateful for the time that we were able to spend together.  The house seems much quieter now that our special guests are gone.

Baking, Cooking, and Visiting

Our Monday was filled with activity. I seemed to spend a good bit of the day in the kitchen. After breakfast, I started a roast with potatoes and carrots in the crockpot. For lunch we enjoyed bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwiches on home baked multi-grain gluten free rolls. Yum! After lunch, I started making another batch of rolls. I seem to be finding myself making these rolls almost every day now that the outside temperatures are below 100 degrees. While the rolls were baking, I mixed up a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Once the cookie dough had rested and the…
