Baking, Cooking, and Visiting

Posted in Family

Gluten Free Chocolate Chip CookiesOur Monday was filled with activity. I seemed to spend a good bit of the day in the kitchen. After breakfast, I started a roast with potatoes and carrots in the crockpot. For lunch we enjoyed bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwiches on home baked multi-grain gluten free rolls. Yum!

After lunch, I started making another batch of rolls. I seem to be finding myself making these rolls almost every day now that the outside temperatures are below 100 degrees. While the rolls were baking, I mixed up a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Once the cookie dough had rested and the rolls were finished baking, the cookies went into the oven.

What was D doing while all of this baking and cooking was going on? He took his Dad out to see some of our beautiful scenery. Munchkin enjoyed playing many games with Mommy and Grandma. Before bed, Grandpa even played a few games of Uno with her.

Tuesday, D has to head into work. Hopefully, he won’t have a long day as he wants to spend time with his parents before they leave on Thursday. He’ll have to see what his schedule at work is like before he determines if he’ll be able to come home earlier in the afternoon.
