Since CHRISTmas is right around the corner, we decided to watch the Polar Express as part of our family movie night. I kept reading about how others had made a fun routine out of it by everyone wearing pjs, drinking hot chocolate, and eating cookies. I decided to make ours a little more special by creating tickets based upon the polar express party pack that I found online. I printed out the tickets on some light blue paper. Cleaning and Christmas Music
Posted in Family, and Homemaking
Today, Munchkin and I focused on some deep cleaning/organizing around the house. You know those stash and dash cleanings you do before company comes over? Well, maybe you don’t do that, but around here, we do. (We’re getting better though. **grin**) Somehow, half that stuff seems to stay in the closet/storage area, and it keeps building up. That’s what we were tackling today. One by one, we brought bags of things down to the living room and went through them. We listened to music and watched movies while we worked. We still have more work to do. I’m not sure…
Lego Train Meets Creative Child
Posted in Family, and Photography
What do you get when you combine a Lego train and a creative child? Why, a Lego roller coaster, of course. Well, that and several crash test dummies. lol! Our Lego train has become a fun Christmas tradition for our family. Munchkin enjoys designing new trains and track layouts each year. Usually, D jumps in and helps her out, so it’s a good bonding time for them as well. …

Jesus was willing to become man for us. Many at the time thought the Messiah would come in and conquer the Romans and free the Jews of persecution. Instead, He entered the world in a very unassuming way. He was on His way to giving us the ultimate CHRISTmas gift – our salvation, our eternal salvation. While I know that the Messiah most likely wasn’t actually born…
I use to be the one to decorate the tree. I had fun decorating it “just so”. Once Munchkin was old enough, she joined in on the decorating. Now, she has taken over the responsibility of decorating the tree. It’s not something that I had planned as I do enjoy it. It’s something that she enjoys so much that I allow her to have free reign on decorating the tree. After the tree is up, Munchkin starts the process of setting up the train. Due to the location of the tree last year, she wasn’t able to set it up…
