Think

Last night, I was reading through a book on manners by Maralee McKee that I had received to review when I came across this acrostic. I knew that I wanted to create something to print out and put up in our home because I really liked it. I believe that it’s good to have visual reminders up around the house to help us fight the good fight. T – Is It True? H – Is It Helpful? I – Is It Inspirational? N – Is It Necessary? K – Is It Kind? In Philippians 4:8 we read: Finally, brothers, whatever is…

Up, Down, All Around

As you can probably tell from some of my posts this week, it’s been a rather crazy week. I’m not ready to write all about it yet as we’re still seeing what the Lord has in His plans for us. No matter what happens, we’ve decided that we’re going to praise the Lord – good or bad. We couldn’t let our emotions get the better of us which is often easier said than done. For Bible this year, we’re going to be using the Keepers of the Faith Write Upon My Heart Character Curriculum as our spine. Since there are 18 books in the series, I asked Daddy to place them in the order in which he would like Munchkin to study them. Now I’m in the process of creating notebooking pages for each book in the series. (The books can be written in, but since I plan on adding more to the studies, I wanted to create notebooking pages for Munchkin to use. It will also create a nice keepsake for the future.)…

A Still Small Voice

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out,…
