Special thanks to MasterBooks for providing a sample of this curriculum to try out in our home. Our homeschool journey has come to a close, but learning never stops. With this in mind, we are continuing to work our way through The History of Religious Liberty by Michael Farris this summer. If you’re going to use this curriculum in a traditional homeschool setting, it counts as 1 credit of civics. It is set up to be done over the course of 1 year (34 weeks). The teacher guide includes a weekly lesson schedule, student worksheets, quizzes, a final exam, and…

Fitness Friday: 21 Day Fix Week 6
Posted in Fitness
This week, we were prepping for Munchkin’s graduation and company, so I took a day off from the full workout here and there. On days when I didn’t get in a 21 Day Fix workout, I either did the 10 minute ab workout included in the program, or I just did a lot of physical labor. We’ve been enjoying beautiful weather, so it’s easy to spend more time outdoors getting exercise. Because I’m in such a routine with my exercise program, not doing the regular program has thrown me for a little loop. At the same time, I knew that…

Graduation Gift ideas sponsored by Family Christian. This post may contain affiliate links. I can’t believe that Munchkin is graduating this week. Yikes! I’ve been working on finding some meaningful gifts that fit with her interests, and we found some really great gifts at Family Christian. High School Graduation is a big milestone in becoming a successful adult. We want her to start off her adult life on the right foot by nurturing her faith. Life Without Internet
Posted in Family, and Homesteading
Munchkin and I have been without internet for nearly a week. For me, it’s been a little frustrating at times as there have been things that I wanted to get done, but, at the same time, it’s been a rather productive week without the distraction that the internet can bring with it. (I did have access to my email on my phone, so I did my best to stay somewhat on top of that at least.) Munchkin, on the other hand, didn’t miss having internet at all which surprised me. When I asked if she wanted to head to the…
Fitness Friday: 21 Day Fix Week 5

Week 5 – check! This has been an interesting and busy week. I missed one day due to traveling and another day due to just being exhausted. I had been painting and moving bins which lead to me being too physically spent to try to do the regular exercise. Travel day found me eating some things that I have avoided during the last few weeks, but, for the most part, I have tried to stick to my normal diet. Our normal schedule for eating has been thrown off a bit due to being so busy, so that has lead to…
