This passage kept coming to mind this week.
“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication make your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethern, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” Philippians 4:6-9
I praise the Lord for peace that passeth all understanding. I am ever grateful for His wonderful grace and mercy. His love for us can be seen all around us.
I am grateful that the Lord is working in me to make me see and understand what is truly important in my life. I am amazed as I see Him bringing different things into my life that shed more light on things that I don’t always understand.
I am grateful that because of this new found knowledge, I was able to enjoy this week with my daughter and not rush around preparing the house for our company. (Yes, the house is being prepared, but not in the normal manner.)
I am grateful that both my husband and my Dad and stepmom will be with us for this long Labor Day weekend. Seeing the joy and delight in Munchkin’s eyes and she’s been preparing for their arrival on Thursday evening as been wonderful.
Our week has been anything but a bed of roses, but the Lord has helped me see some things in a different light.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
You are always a blessing to my heart, thank you.

I suspect being in the military and ministry are similar in that you are usually away from family.
We are pretty close to home now but I used to LOVE when our family came for the weekends. I know you will have such a special time!
Enjoy your weekend!!
