My Thoughts
Critical Thinking skills are crucial in all aspects of life. Being able to analyze situations and move beyond the obvious is an important life skill. With Balance Benders, students are learning to use and build those skills.
We were given the opportunity to review Balance Benders Level 1: Logic and Algebraic Reasoning Puzzles. I gave Munchkin one puzzle each to do work on as part of her school work. At first, Munchkin had a little difficulty with season exactly what she was suppose to be doing. As she started to understand the concepts, a little light bulb went off, and she embraced the daily challenge.
As a mom and homeschool parent, I appreciate the easy to use format and answer key. The crisp black and white images are easy to read and not distracting to the student. I liked that I could watch Munchkin’s progression as she started to learn to really think about the problems presented. I could see these skills transfer over to some of the other subjects including math.
