Knowledge Quest has created yet another wonderful resource for homeschoolers, teachers, parents, and students ~ The MapTrek Atlas and Outline Maps of World History series.
I was given the opportunity to review MapTrek V1: Ancient World. As Knowledge Quest was rolling out the MapTrek series, I was receiving email notifications of freebies previews of this series. From the free downloads, I knew this would be a great series.
On a side note… I highly recommend signing up for the Knowledge Quest email newsletter because they do send out notifications of freebies they are offering.
For the teacher, there are beautiful full color answer key maps. These would also be great for students to use as a study guide. Plus, there are lesson plans for each the maps. The lesson plans are broken down into the following grade levels: A) 1-4, B) 5-8, C) 9-12.
For the students, there are unlabeled outline maps to label and color. Also included are grid maps and blank grids to allow students to learn how to draw the different land masses of the world. These historical maps could be used to help students gain a better understanding of the history they are learning in their studies.
MapTrek V1: Ancient World includes:
- 34 full color teacher answer maps
- 32 blank outline maps for the students
- 4 grid maps
- 2 blank grids
- Instructions and lesson plans
- Glossary of terms
4 of the maps are available for download for free! You can see the high quality of these maps. They could easily be laminated to be used over and over again. At this time, the MapTrek series is available as an ebook download for $14.95.
I received a copy of MapTrek from Knowledge Quest for review purposes as part of MamaBzz. No other compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
Thanks for the link and the review!
