Have you ever wished after a move that you could just snap your fingers and everything would magically be put away? Well, we’re definitely at that point here. The good news is that one room is completely done. The bad news is that there are several rooms that still have lots of boxes.
In all honesty, we’ve been pacing ourselves with the unpacking. We want to take advantage of D’s time off from work before starting at his new duty stations, so we’re also having some fun. That fun includes strawberry picking as I posted earlier. Well, yesterday, we went strawberry picking, so that means today I’ll be tackling washing, hulling, and slicing up lots of strawberries.
D tackled the garage yesterday and made a huge dent. Our study/guest room/classroom is usable, but that’s only because the last of the boxes are outside of the room. That will be the next tackle after the strawberries. Munchkin will be tackling her room if she’s feeling better this morning. (She was up several times during the night as she wasn’t feeling well.)
The most important thing we’ll be tackling today is finishing up the end of the school year testing. Munchkin worked hard to get her schoolwork done, so she’d be able to be done while D was home. Now, we just need to complete her testing (required by the state), and she’ll be done. We’re looking forward to the break, and the fresh start after D heads off back to work.
So, here’s what we’ll be tackling:
1. Me– strawberries, boxes for study/guest room/school room
2. D– more of the garage & helping me with the boxes
3. Munchkin– her room, end of the year testing
Oh, there’s lots more to tackle, but we’ll start there. lol!!
Good luck! Sounds like you have a lot to do!
Unpacking can CERTAINLY be a chore, especially when you get to those last few boxes. Augh!
Sounds like you have a big job!! Have a wonderful Tuesday
Unpacking can be so tiring and is definitely a big tackle. Fresh straberries sound yummy. Good luck!
It’ll be so nice when it’s all done:)
That is definitately a good list!!
It’s so easy to stress when you look at ALL the boxes that need unpacking. but tackling the boxes one at a time gets it done.
Kudos!
Happy Tackling!!
Oh poor baby. I do hope she is feeling better. My husband started tackling our garage over the weekend. He is in there right now trying to get some more stuff done! Unpacking is the hardest. I hate it. It’s good to pace yourself as you’r doing and not rush that way things get put away in their rightful place and not thrown anywhere like we did here 🙂
Good Luck ocmpleting your tackle.
Happy Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!
That’s a good start. I actually enjoyed being outside also, but with my ones so little I needed help… but now that one said of the yard is done I can leave my daughter out with me on the “safe” side :o)…. thanks for the compliment.
