To escape the desert heat, we decided it would be fun to head over to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. It’s almost 30 degrees cooler at the top than it is at the bottom.
A quick family picture before we get in the tram and head to the top.
The ride up was filled with beautiful views. One of the new (to us) features for the tram is that it rotates in a circle, so you can see views from all sides of the tram.
Once we arrived at the top, we took in the amazing views and did a little exploring. Great Grandma did really well with our short hikes as long as we were slow and steady.
It was so much fun watching her take in the views and really enjoy herself.
While this little lady enjoyed the view, her favorite part was climbing on the rocks.
All too soon it was time to head back down the mountain. The views on the way down were just as stunning. We’ve decided that we need to go back when it’s cooler and take advantage of some of the many hiking trails. There are also lots of winter activities available that would be a lot of fun. For today, we just enjoyed the cooler weather and amazing views.
