Christmas Tree 2013

Posted in Family, and Holidays

It’s funny how the same Christmas tree that has looked rather large in most of our homes looks a bit smaller at the cabin next to the large fireplace. I am so grateful that this year we have a floor instead of plywood, and that we have a fully insulated cabin. It’s much cozier this year. 😉 Some of the lights have gone out on this pre-lit Christmas tree, but we’re still using it as we like the tree. Munchkin, once again, did most of the decorating for the tree. Normally, we decorate on Thanksgiving day, but we were traveling…

Archery Practice

Posted in Family

Munchkin thoroughly enjoys practicing archery even though there are times that she gets quite frustrated in the process of learning. She hasn’t really had a chance to practice very much since the move due to our crazy schedules and less than desirable weather (too hot or too cold). When we were up at the cabin, we were able to pick her up a couple of new arrows that were a bit longer and better made than her original arrows, so she was eager to test them out. On Wednesday, we had beautiful weather in the low 50s with little to…

Review: Red Sky At Morning by Steve Wilson

Red Sky at Morning Book Description: Red Sky at Morning, book one in the Michael Neill Adventure series, is a novel of military/espionage, with ties to Christian fiction. It explores the dynamics of faith in uniform, which are often absent from books of the same kind. There’s action, military hardware, strong core values, and even a little romance. Neill’s adventures will hold the interest of young and old, and will encourage readers to value patriotism and embrace honor and integrity. Michael Neill was born and raised in Ukraine, the son of American missionaries. As a Marine Corps officer, Neill works…

Living in the low desert of Arizona, we didn’t get any snow, and we missed seeing the cold, white stuff during the winter months. When we purchased the cabin last year, we thought that we might get to see some snow during our time there. Unfortunately, we always seemed to miss out on the snowfalls. Our neighbor did send us some pictures, so we could see what we were missing. She wasn’t too thrilled with the heavy snowfall as it meant mucking out heavy, wet snow-filled stalls. Fast forward to Thanksgiving this year…. Much to our surprise, we received a…

Review: Udderly Smooth Creams

I’ve been hearing about Udderly Smooth creams and lotions from friends and family for quite some time. They love how well they work on dry, cracked skin. I didn’t realize they had such a large product line as I normally only see the hand cream tubes at the store. We received a nice selection of Udder Cream products by Udderly Smooth to try out including: Udderly Smooth Foot Cream with Shea Butter: $6.50 Udderly Smooth Hand Cream Original Formula (4 oz.): $2.75 Udderly Smooth Hand Cream Original Formula (2 oz.): $1.75 Udderly Smooth Body Cream Original Formula: $5.75 Unfortunately for…
