Why I Give Activity Book Description:
How wonderful would it be if we could teach our children to be a cheerful giver from an early age? Christmas is often thought of as the “season of giving.” However, as Christians we want our children to be givers year round, not only at Christmas time. This book is designed to help your child cultivate a heart of giving.
About the Author:

My Thoughts:
The Why I Give Activity Book was inspired by Corine’s book Why I Give Gifts at Christmas Time which is a lovely, hard-cover book that goes over reasons for giving at Christmas. Each reason is based upon a specific scripture passage. Corine took the ideas covered in the book and applied them to year-around giving. Coloring pages were created that show the reasons for giving as well as the scripture passage. She then added in fun activities like puzzles, crafts, and a journal page for each of the reasons/scripture passages.
Because the activity book is in pdf form, families can print out enough pages for each member of the family. It would make a great family devotional. You can also customize its use for your family. If you really like puzzles but aren’t big on crafts, you could just skip the crafts. The journal pages are great for helping kids think about what they are learning. Writing down their thoughts or drawing a picture to represent their thoughts helps cement the ideas in their minds. If a child is too young to write/draw, a parent can write down the child’s thoughts which would make for special keepsakes.
I think it’s really precious that her niece drew the images for the coloring pages in the activity book. I believe that kids will enjoy the images. The only thing that I felt was missing was copywork pages for the scripture passages. (Please note, there are free tracing pages available on the website that can be downloaded to use with this.) Other than that, this activity book was well thought out and put together. Whether you use it to get in the spirit of giving as we head into Christmas or you use it throughout the year, it’s sure to help your family think more about the reasons behind why we give from a Biblical viewpoint.
Disclosure: I received a copy of the activity book as part of the launch team to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. A positive review is not guaranteed and all opinions are my own.
