Silk Fruit & Protein

Silk Fruit and Protein

If you’ve ever had protein shakes, you know that most of them taste – well – horrible. Yes, there are a few out there on the market that taste okay, but they’re usually just something that you drink because you want the extra protein.

Silk understood this dilemma and came up with an alternative way to drink your protein – Silk Fruit & Protein. It’s a blend of fruit juices and soy milk which tastes like a light smoothie with no powdery aftertaste. It comes in 3 different flavor combinations:

  • Strawberry Banana
  • Mango Peach
  • Mixed Berry

Each 1-cup serving has 150 calories, 1.5 grams of fat, and 5 grams of protein.  It’s also an excellent source of calcium, vitamin D, and vitamin C.

The favorite flavor around here had to be the Mango Peach. While the other 2 flavors tasted good, this one was a hit. Now, to be completely honest, neither Munchkin nor I consume much soy, so I’d love to see these fruit blends offered with either the Silk Coconut Milk or the Silk Almond Milk. D, on the other hand, has been enjoying being able to get his protein in this tasty form. Because the Silk Fruit & Protein is light, he’s able to enjoy drinking it in the morning, afternoon, or evening. It’s also refreshing after a workout.

If you’re looking for an alternative way to add more protein to your diet, you may want to try out one of the Silk Fruit & Protein blends. Head over to the switch to Silk website to snag a coupon or follow them on Facebook and/or Twitter for more valuable coupons and information.

I received coupons for free Silk to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. All opinions are my own.
