A Stroll around the Culdesac

Posted in Family, and Photography

Project 365 – #123 Remember when I jokingly said that we’d be walking around the culdesac for our anniversary?  Well, today, we were able to take a very slow stroll around our culdesac.  While our little walks are extremely slow and usually short, it’s nice to be able to hold hands and talk while we stroll along.  Minus the super slow part, it reminds me of when we were dating and first married.  We always enjoyed taking walks and talking.  Usually, Munchkin likes to walk in between us, so she can hold both of our hands.  These days, it’s pretty…

Snap Fashion Jewelry Giveaway

Posted in Homemaking, and Reviews

Two girls on a warm spring afternoon + Snap Fashion Jewelry = Lots of creative fun Last week, we received a Snap Fashion Jewelry Studio kit from SmartLab Toys.  Due to our crazy week, we didn’t have the opportunity to pull it out until Monday afternoon.  Munchkin and her friend were happily playing with their American Girl Dolls when I slipped outside and told them I had a special craft for them.  Their faces lit up as they totally enjoying doing different crafts together.  They quickly checked out the idea and instruction book.  This took them a bit of time…

Washing Trucks

Posted in Family, and Photography

Project 365 – #122 Munchkin has asked Daddy and I to come up with ways that she can earn some money around the house.  After walking by the rather dirty trucks, Daddy decided that he would pay her to wash them.  Her pay will be based upon the quality of her work and whether she decides to wash both the outside and clean the inside. Munchkin is doing a great job.  Yes, she’s occasionally getting a bit side-tracked, but she is a 12-year-old girl.  **grin**  Daddy was able to hobble downstairs and outside to check out her work which made…

New Every Morning

Posted in Christian Life, and Photography

Project 365 – #121 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. ~Lamentations 3:22-26~
