Cheerios sendCheer Giveaway

Cheerios sendCheer

As you know, I’m extremely excited to be part of the Cheerios sendCheer campaign.  Here’s a very brief overview of the program:

  • This fall, specially-marked boxes of Cheerios cereal will feature Cheer postcards on the front of the box. Shoppers can simply cut out the postcard from the Cheerios logo, write a message of thanks on the back, add a stamp and mail the pre-addressed card to the USO. The USO will deliver the Cheer card to military families across the country.
  • For each postcard received through November 2012, Cheerios will make a $1 donation to the USO to help fund programs that support military families.
  • During the campaign kick off, Cheerios donated $150,000 to the USO, and they will continue to donate up to an additional $100,000 based upon the number of postcards received from specially marked boxes through November 30th, 2012.

To help you join the campaign and spread some cheer to our military families, I am able to give away one of the cool prize packs featured above.  You’ll receive a sendCheer box of Cheerios, a Cheerios bowl, a Cheerios spoon, and a very cool cereal dispenser.

GIVEAWAY – Open to US Residents Only – Ends 11/30

Cheerios cereal, information, and giveaway have been provided by General Mills through MyBlogSpark.

My middle daughter enlisted 10 years ago. After being on a medical hold for more than three years, she was discharged from the Army two years ago. She is still going through a MEB and processing paperwork and stuff (much of which I don’t understand) through Comp & Pen and the VA. I try to support her in any way I’m able.

My Dad is a retired Marine and so the deep respect I have for soldiers and their families runs deep and started early. I pray for them on a daily basis, they always need prayers and I donate to the local veterans home in my community for things such as movies, blankets and whatever else they need.

I have a nephew (Lt Col in the Air Force) who is currently serving in Afghanistan. While I know he appreciates getting goodies, he requests that we send things he can share the younger guys he works with who don’t have a wife and kids to keep them awash in letters. I’ve found that my homemade beef jerky is one of the absolute favorites of everyone, along with silly notes and funny articles cut out of the paper.
