Gluten Free Vacation

Posted in Family, Gluten Free, and Photography

Project 365 – #215 One of the fun things that we were able to do while on vacation (aka our small family reunion) was go out to eat.  I realize that for some people going out to eat doesn’t seem all that special, but since we’re gluten free and have to be extremely careful about cross contamination, we rarely go out to eat.  Usually, we just take our food with us on vacation.  While we did do that on this trip, we were also able to hit a few different places including Chick-fil-a, Picazzos (the best gluten free pizza), and…

An Interesting Horseback Ride

Posted in Family, Outdoor Adventures, and Photography

Project 365 – #214 Grandpa decided that he wanted to take us all horseback riding.  Munchkin has really, really wanted to go riding for some time, but it just never seemed to work out for various reasons.  Well, this trip, she got the opportunity to go riding while we were up visiting the Grand Canyon.  To say she was excited would be a major understatement.  We arrived at the stables with cloudy skies overhead, but we had high hopes for a great ride. And he’s done it all as a high school senior. “All of the songs have something to do with things I was…

Arizona Homeschool Convention

Posted in Homeschooling, and Photography

Project 365 – #213We were blessed to be able to attend the Arizona Homeschool Convention while our family was here to visit.  Munchkin was a little torn on what to do as she really wanted to hear Ken Ham speak in person, but she also very much wanted to spend time with her cousins and aunt and uncle.  In the end, hanging out with her cousins won out.  **grin**  Grandpa and Grandpa joined D and I at the convention. Since we didn’t want to miss any of Ken Ham’s sessions, we ended up just ordering the mp3s for the rest…
