Vanilla Ice Cream with Blackberry SauceProject 365 – #147

May is National Celiac Awareness Month, so I thought I would share a couple of things going on in the gluten free world right now.  I love how the world of gluten free eating has really opened up over the last few years.

Gluten-Free Living Magazine

Currently, Gluten-Free Living Magazine is offering a 2-for-1 special on their subscriptions.  Normally, a one-year subscription to Gluten-Free Living is $34; a two-year subscription is $54.  From now until May 31, 2011, you can purchase a two-year subscription for $34.  Find the offer details at the Gluten-Free Living website.

Gluten Freely Bakers Challenge

GlutenFreely.com is having a gluten free baking challenge.  Whoohoo!  Now through June 30th, you can submit an original gluten free holiday-themed appetizer, bread or dessert recipe, using any Betty Crocker Gluten Free dessert mix or Bisquick Gluten Free baking mix to the Bakers Challenge and have the opportunity to win a Grand Prize of $5,000. The grand prize winner will also have the chance to be featured on a Betty Crocker® Gluten Free dessert mix or Bisquick® Gluten Free baking mix package and/or be featured in a Betty Crocker publication!  How cool is that?

You know that I love baking, so I’m trying to decide what recipe I’ll be entering into the contest.  **grin**  If you make it to the finals (top 10), then you’ll win a basket filled with gluten free baking goodies.

In addition to the fun recipe contest, through the end of June, you can save 20% on the purchase of any of the five Betty Crocker Gluten Free mixes at the Gluten-Freely online store.

I received information from this post from Gluten-Free Magazine and My Blog Spark (baking contest). I received a gluten free mix package from My Blog Spark as part of the promotion.
