Project 365 – #081
I think the peanut butter – creamy or crunchy – debate may be right up there with the toilet paper – over or under – debate. Our house is pretty much split. Munchkin does not care for crunchy peanut butter unless it’s in something (like cookies). D prefers crunchy, but he’s fine with creamy. (Creamy peanut butter is the norm around here, but occasionally, we’ll purchase some crunchy.) I like either – no real preference.
One of the difficulties of going gluten free was finding a good peanut butter and jelly bread. Most gluten free breads are, well, less than desirable. Munchkin wanted a bread that didn’t have to be toasted. While I have created some great gluten free sandwich rolls, it’s not always easy to get bread made every day. (My family likes bread, so we go through a good bit of it.) I was thrilled when we found Udi’s bread on one of our vacations. We have one store locally that carries it, so we frequent that store. They always like to see us coming. lol!
Now that we have a good gluten free bread that we can purchase when necessary, it makes life a bit easier. I don’t have to bake bread in the heat of the Arizona summer. We can enjoy simple things like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Now, we just need to concern ourselves with that one question – creamy or crunchy?
So what is the favorite peanut butter at your house – creamy, crunchy, or both?
We keep both, so whatever your in the mood for.
