USMC Drum and Bugle Corps: Part 2

Posted in Military Life, and Photography

Project 365 – #064 Yesterday, I showed some pictures of the USMC Drum and Bugle Corps.  Today, I’m sharing pictures of the USMC Silent Drill Team.  I’ll never forget the first time I saw the Silent Drill Team at 8th & I when Munchkin was a baby.  It was an evening performance never to be forgotten. Before we knew it, the show was over, and it was time to head home.  If you ever get a chance to go see a performance, I highly recommend it.  This performance was just a practice to get ready for the real thing, but…

USMC Drum and Bugle Corps: Part One

Project 365 – #063 One of the very cool things about where we live is that we get to enjoy the practice sessions of the USMC Drum and Bugle Corps – Commandant’s Own.  We don’t need to get all dressed up.  We just get to go and sit on the grassy parade deck and enjoy the show.  This year, as usual, the weather was beautiful.  Not too hot, not too cold.  We walked over to the parade deck with some friends to enjoy the presentation. Tomorrow, I’ll share pictures from the silent drill team.  I always enjoy watching their precision…

Lego Art

Posted in Family, and Photography

Project 365 – #062 Munchkin really enjoys playing with her Legos.  While watching the new Lego movie, she created this fun piece of Lego art.  She thought it was pretty cool that she created it so it could spin.  She’s been asking me to take a picture for a few days, but I just got to it.  Perfect timing since it’s Lego Creation Thursday. Munchkin couldn’t think of a name for her creation.  She’s not even sure what exactly it is suppose to be.  She’d love to hear what you think it could be, or what she should name it.

Snyder’s of Hanover Goes Gluten Free!

Posted in Gluten Free, and Photography

Project 365 – #061 When we stopped by our local health food store to pick up some gluten free bread, they had just received a shipment of these Snyder’s Gluten Free pretzel sticks.  They kindly had samples available.  After tasting them, well, a bag just seemed to follow us home.  **grin**  The cashier and I agreed that they taste better (in our opinion) than the gluten containing pretzels.  Yum!  Now, we just have to try not to eat this bag all in one sitting.
