Toggle Bandz are one of those really cool products where you say to yourself, “why didn’t I think of that?” Stay-at-home mom and military wife Amanda Duke created Toggle Bandz out of necessity when she couldn’t get regular headbands to stay in her daughter’s fine hair. (Gotta love it one someone sees a problem and does something about it!)
I liked the idea of an adjustable, soft headband as Munchkin seems to always have problems with regular headbands. Here is where I need to apologize to Amanda as this review should have been posted a few weeks ago – shortly after we received the Toggle Bandz to try out. Munchkin got sick and then we had company, so the review, sadly, was put on hold. So, I’m finally able to post the review now that Munchkin has been able to try out the Toggle Bandz.
Toggle Bandz are really a simple, but brilliant concept. Since the bands themselves are made from ribbon, the possibilities for colors and widths are pretty much endless. Plus, they are soft, so they fit comfortably. The toggle allows the band to be adjusted to precisely fit the child’s (or adult’s) head. You just slip the band over the head and tighten the toggle to fit. Easy as can be!
One of the fun things that we discovered is that the Toggle Bandz can also be used as a fun accessory for ponytails and buns. Just slip the Toggle Bandz over the ponytail or bun and tighten to create a jazzed up look with virtually no fuss. It also stays in place much better than just tying a ribbon.
I even tried out the Toggle Bandz. I found the Toggle Bandz to be very comfortable, and more importantly, it stayed put. Most normal headbands slip out of my hair or slide around. Even though Toggle Bandz are made from ribbon, I did not have that problem. I also did not get a headache while wearing it which often happens with the traditional hard headband.
Overall, we’re quite impressed with Toggle Bandz. I also love that purchasing Toggle Bandz supports a stay-at-home mom and military wife. Make sure you check out the Toggle Bandz website for more information on pricing and styles.
I received a sample of Toggle Bandz to help facilitate the writing of a frank and honest review. All opinions are my own.
Those are unique and look very interesting. With 5 daughters we are always looking for new ways of doing hair 🙂
