On Monday, after the neighborhood kids arrived home from school, we were blessed with an ever so brief rain shower. Now, when you live in a place where there is very little rain, a rain shower, no matter how brief, is cause for great celebration. There is running, screaming, shouting, laughing, dancing, playing in the rain. Forget umbrellas or rain boots, they just head out and play.
They splash in the puddles and create damns in the “streams”. They just thoroughly enjoy the beautiful rain.
All too soon, the rain stopped, but the splashing continued for a little while longer. Everyone enjoyed each moment of the rain, and they eagerly look forward to the next rain storm whenever it may be.

It’s still raining here! My kids were out in it just a bit ago but it’s getting dark and I made them come in. I’m such a fun-spoiler!
