Scripture passages paired with beautiful illustrations bring the Creation story to life.  Readers are taken through the story of Creation starting with Genesis 1:1 and ending with Genesis 2:3.  Each 2-page spread contains the scripture passage, a lovely illustration, and a “something to think about” paragraph.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and earth…”

Try to imagine what it must have been like before God made the world…

The Creation Story uses actual scripture passages, so the story is not a watered down version. Younger children will enjoy the illustrations while older children can go more in depth with the scripture and the digging deeper thoughts.

At the conclusion of the seventh day, the Creation story ends while the book continues. From the hummingbird to the star-nosed mole to the Velociraptor, readers can have fun learning more about the amazing creatures that God created.

The book concludes with a look at God and man. The story of God’s children is told through delightful images, scripture passages from Psalm 139, and thoughts about God’s love and presence in our lives (based upon the scripture passages).

The Creation story for children is a 32 page, hard cover book geared towards children ages 4-8 and retails for $14.99.  This book is perfect for family devotions, story time, or Sunday School – basically anywhere that you want to teach about Creation.

I received a copy of this book from Master Books/New Leaf Publishing to facilitate the writing of this review. All opinions are my own.
