No Place Like Home

White FlowerWe ended up not arriving home until Tuesday evening.  We had originally planned on coming home on Saturday, but we made another stop at Sand Hollow State Park, Utah on the way home.  We stayed a few days instead of coming straight home.  (We had no internet after Saturday morning when we left our original campground.)

Last night, we brought everything in from the trailer.  We only put away what needed to put put away immediately (such as food items).  The rest of the bags were left in the living room to be tackled today.  We were tired and decided to rest for what was left of the evening.

Today was filled with cleaning and laundry.  I’m working on the last few loads right now.  While it’s good to be home, doing all of the laundry and unpacking is never fun.  We don’t mind too much though as the trip was worth the extra effort it takes when we get home.

Munchkin is happily catching up with her friends right now.  Her one friend was gone for a few weeks prior to us leaving, and she got home right before we left.  Since Munchkin was sick, they didn’t actually get to talk at all before we headed out camping.  They’re enjoying sharing stories about their vacations and playing.

I’ll be continuing to post pictures from our trip.  I’m sure it will take some time to get them posted.  Hopefully, no one gets bored with the pictures before I’m done.

  3. Get bored with all these wonderful pictures of God’s Creation??? I think not! I love seeing every single one!

I’m glad you are home safe & sound. Packing/unpacking is such a chore, but it looks like your trip was totally worth it!

FWIW, when we left Hawaii (our last duty station) to move to Virginia, we flew to L.A. to pick up our van and then spent 3 weeks traveling across country. We spent 6 days in CA alone! When we arrived in the Four Corners area, there was so much to do that we couldn’t bear to go “home” (to my parents house) in TN on time. We kept calling and saying “just a couple more days”. We stretched our two-week trip to three weeks. It was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! At the time, we were in a bit of a hurry to see family, then head to VA to get settled in with DH’s family and to begin HOUSE-HUNTING! In retrospect, I wish we had spent even more time sightseeing. LOL!
