Fairyland Canyon is just outside of Bryce Canyon’s park gates, so we stopped here on the way out of the park when we were headed back to the campground. Even with the cloudy skies and rain, it was a beautiful view. With as stunning as the views were on a stormy, cloudy day, I can only imagine how breath-taking many of these stops would have been on a clear day.
As we were leaving, we looked down onto the cliffs below and spotted a single, small yellow flower growing out of the rocks. Somehow, this little flower had found a way to grow under these harsh conditions.
Our next stop will be nearly 3 hours away from Bryce Canyon. We are now making our way over to Zion National Park, but we won’t be staying right there. Instead, we’ll be staying at Sand Hollow State Park. You’ll soon see why D was so excited about this location (not that he/we didn’t enjoy every moment in the Bryce Canyon area).
