Baby Birds

I heard squeals coming from outside. The front door flew open. “Momma, Momma… you can… come see… outside.”  I tell Munchkin to slow down and repeat what she is saying.  At first, I thought something bad had happened, but I quickly realized that she was super excited. The momma bird was off the nest, and they could see the babies.  She wanted me to grab the camera, so I could take pictures of the baby birds. Oriental Trading Company has lots of fun different food picks which add a little fun to a simple wrap.  By using a fish cookie cutter on the watermelon, I was able to create a fun, simple under water lunch for Munchkin. Using fun food picks and cookies cutters to make a fun meal works for me.  You can see my spring fun lunch idea here.

End of Year Testing 2010

Today is Munchkin’s end of year testing.  While we are not required by Arizona state law to perform the testing, we have chosen to do it anyway.  I am able to administer the test at home, so we don’t have to go anywhere for the actual test.  Munchkin seriously dislikes taking standardized tests, but I feel it’s important for her to get use to the concept.
