Birthday Girl: Munchkin as Molly

Posted in Homemaking

Munchkin’s birthday party was an American Girl Molly Mystery party.  She decided that she wanted her Molly costume to be Molly as Miss. Victory.  Munchkin’s pink birthday skirt was the trial run for this costume.  We had purchased a pattern for a skirt, but once I got it home, I realized it was way too complicated for the time that I had.  I decided to just design my own.  This was the end result….

Time to get caught up…

This week will be a week of catch up on my blog.  I have several reviews that need to be posted.  I need to post more Grand Canyon pictures.  Munchkin’s birthday pictures will go up.  I have a winner to announce.  I need to try to make it around to several blogs this week as I’m very far behind on my reading.  I need to respond to comments…  You get the idea.  We’ve had so much fun the last two weeks with the Grand Canyon and then all of the party preparations, but it kept us very busy (fun busy). …

Family Day and More…

Last night, I stayed up way too late working on Munchkin’s cake and other party decorations.  Munchkin hasn’t seen the cake yet.  She’ll see it for the first time at the party.  I’m pleased with how it turned out even though I have the most difficult time writing on cakes. This morning, we worked on cleaning the house some more and doing some decorating before heading over to family day.  They had two inflatable slide/bounce houses for the kids and lots of food.  Some people were playing horse shoes while others were playing volleyball. D and I were busy talking…

Foto Friday Challenge: Yellow

Posted in Photography

I had grand plans for this week’s challenge.  I was thinking lots of lemons on the local lemon trees.  Thoughts of fun things I could do with the 5 different types of mustard that we have in the fridge fluttered around my mind.  Yellow crayons and colored pencils danced through my head.  In the end, I was too busy with Munchkin’s party planning, so I headed out to take pictures of flowers.  Yellow flowers always seem so bright and cheery… For more Foto Friday Challenge head over to Renaissance.
