D is the protein/health person around here, so he tried out the bars. Here is his review:
NuGo Free Dark Chocolate Crunch: The overall flavor was good. The core of the bar had a good flavor while the chocolate added the extra bit of sweetness. The texture was a bit tough and did not have the crispness that I would have liked, however the chocolate coating did offset that concern. When compared to other health food bars, I would eat it again.
NoGo Free Carrot Cake: The carrot cake flavor was good but the texture of the rice was a bit tough as well. When compared to other health food bars, it was about on par.
The rice in both bars needed to be crispier in order to have a better texture. If this was achieved, I would enjoy the bars more.
The NuGo Free Bars are currently $17.54 for a box of 12 on Amazon.
