My Thoughts:
Nelson’s Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts is broken down into two main categories: Old Testament and New Testament. The Old Testament is broken down into: The Pentateuch, The Historical Books, Wisdom Literature, The Prophetic Books, and Intertestamental Period. The New Testament is broken down into: The Four Gospels, The Epistles of Paul, and The General Epistles. Those sections in the Old and New Testaments are further broken down into the books of the Bible.
The section for each book of the Bible starts off with a brief introduction to the book, information about the author, dates, and themes and literary structure of the book. Next, you will find an overview of the book in chart form as well as an outline of the book. Each book has various charts and maps to help the reader better understand that portion of Scripture.
This book will be a real asset for those who are studying the Bible and want a better understanding of scripture. The maps help students visualize what they are reading. The charts help students follow the flow of the scripture passages.
We will be using this as we read through the Bible. Thomas Nelson also offers purchasers the ability to print out all of the charts and maps from their website.
