Prelude to a Blog Giveaway and Review

Posted in Homeschooling, and Reviews

Should I or shouldn’t I create a blog for Munchkin? It could be good for her to have a place to showcase her own writings, drawings, and pictures. Yet, there are people out that that have less than honorable intentions towards kids. Yes, these are some of the thoughts that run through my head when I think about Munchkin blogging.

Thankfully, Sisterlisa has written an e-book about this very subject, Prelude to a Blog: A homeschool mom’s guide to getting your child started in blogging.

Prelude to a Blog isn’t just a book about getting your child started in blogging. It’s about helping your child learn how to be a smart blogger.  Some of the topics covered include:

  • Getting started
  • Establishing boundaries
  • Figuring out what to publish
  • Blogging safety
  • Blogging basics
  • Blogging etiquette
  • and much more

The ebook is written in a conversational style, so you feel like you’re sitting down with SisterLisa having a nice chat.  Throughout this book, she has given many helpful ideas that will help you become a better blogger and allow you to guide your child as they create their own blog.  You will see how blogging can be a great learning tool when used wisely.

I walked away from reading this ebook not only feeling more confident about what I need to do to get Munchkin started safely in the blogging world, but also learning more about blogging in general.  There were many great tips on networking, sharing your faith, and conflict resolution.  Even seasoned bloggers could learn a thing or two from Prelude to a Blog.

About the Author:

Prelude to a Blog sounds like the sort of book that I should have had when I started blogging. My daughter is talking about starting a blog, so I would appreciate the book immensely.

This book sounds great. I let my son start his own blog not that long ago and I would love to share the tips in this book with him.
