A few weeks ago, Munchkin pet sat for our neighbors for 3 days. They were quite pleased with the job that she had done. She loved the responsibility and pride that came with working hard and earning her own money.
When she found out that they would need someone to take care of their pets for 2 weeks, she jumped at the opportunity. They weren’t planning on asking her as they thought it would be too much for someone her age, so they were pleased when she volunteered. (They verified with me that it wouldn’t be too much for her or me. I assured them that it was fine.)
Munchkin is now happily taking care of their pets on her own. She’s set up her own schedule and is doing great about following it.
I have mixed emotions about this situation. On one hand, I’m so proud of the little lady that she’s becoming. On the other, it’s hard to watch her grow up so quickly. It reminds me, once again, how precious each day is with our sweet “little” girl.
Wow, Munchkin is becoming quite a young lady!
Children do grow up ever so quickly, don't they?
Blessings,
Jillian
