Tackle It Tuesday: Planning

Posted in Family, and Homemaking

Today is a day for planning.

We did a little bit of running around picking up the school supplies that were on sale. I love this time of year when you can get great deals on all sorts of school goodies. Munchkin is rather excited about the new supplies.

Once we arrived home, I got to work on the calendar and schedule. I needed to see exactly what we had on the schedule for the next few months. I’m trying to plan out munchkin’s schedule. She’ll be starting soccer in September (for the first time). She has several things that she wants to be able to do, so I’m doing some research on what is available in our area and the cost associated with them.

I don’t know about you, but I hate to be over-scheduled. I like to have flexibility in our plans. After all, that is part of the reason that we homeschool.

I also need to do a bit of research into the berry farms in the area. I really want to be able to go blueberry and blackberry picking. Yum! While doing the research, I found a place to pick peaches! I haven’t decided if I want to can or freeze the peaches. hmmm…. Maybe both? I hope to be able to go this week. We’ll see if it works out.

So, I tackled the schedule, did a bit of research, and tackled a bit of organization in the process. Nothing earth shattering, but it’s stuff that needed to be done.

Sounds like a good time for reading Blueberries with Sal! You’re never too old for that book right?

Just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts and prayers alot right now.
