Tackle It Tuesday: Planning

Posted in Family, and Homemaking

Today is a day for planning. We did a little bit of running around picking up the school supplies that were on sale. I love this time of year when you can get great deals on all sorts of school goodies. Munchkin is rather excited about the new supplies. Once we arrived home, I got to work on the calendar and schedule. I needed to see exactly what we had on the schedule for the next few months. I’m trying to plan out munchkin’s schedule. She’ll be starting soccer in September (for the first time). She has several things that…

Marriage Monday: Honor Your Husband Challenge Conclusion

Posted in Christian Life

I truly enjoyed this challenge, but little did I know when I started this challenge that the final week of the challenge would be so difficult. Finding out your spouse is deploying really causes one to think about what’s important. Christine talks about how no marriage is perfect, and she’s right. It’s impossible for two imperfect people to create a perfect marriage. We do not live in a sinless world. Thankfully, God gives us a wonderful guidebook – the Bible – to help as we strive to live our lives to please Him. What did the Bible say about what…

Small Break

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

We had a wonderful visit with our new Pastor last night. He stopped by to see if we had any questions about the church and to pray with us before D left. We’re praying that he’ll be able to come home some weekends, but there is no guarantee. We’ll be spending family time together, and I’ll be doing lots and lots of baking. I’ll resume posting either Monday (after…

Thankful Thursday

Posted in Family

This week I am very thankful for all of the kindness, warm responses, and prayers that I have received from my fellow bloggers. We greatly appreciate all of the kind comments that you have left. I am grateful that although D will be deploying we still have some time before he leaves. Granted, he will not be here in the same state with us for the next few months, but there is a good chance that we’ll still get to spend some time together on some weekends. For this, I am very grateful. He may be able to see her…
