Long Night

Last night was a very long night. The first night after Daddy leaves seems to be the worst (usually). No, Daddy is not deployed (thankfully), he’s just away for training for most of the month. I finally was able to get her to sleep around 2:00am. Normal bedtime is between 8:30 and 9:00pm. I knew that being in a new location plus Daddy leaving was going to be difficult, but I didn’t think that it was going to be 2:00am difficult. Well, we started off on the right foot, and then life caught up to us. Too much going on…. So this week, I’m trying to recommit to our original schedule of reading. I had planned on continuing with the Narnia series, but I forgot to bring it with us this week. So, we’ll just be reading something else. We’re still doing ok with the individual reading, but we haven’t been reading every day. I want to make that a priority for us. So that’s how we’re doing right now. Meal Plan Monday

The next couple of weeks probably won’t be that exciting, but I still need to plan something. Munchkin and I are at the new house getting it ready for move-in. Not much food around as we haven’t been grocery shopping. 1. Cheese quesadillas 2. Soup 3. Salad 4. Sandwiches 5. Pasta 6. Mac ‘n Cheese 7. Dinner Out Hopefully next week I’ll at least have a little more food in the kitchen. lol! If you have any ideas for limited time, limited food, and limited cookware, feel free to pass them along….

This morning, while doing devotions, I read this verse and thought I would share. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5 So often in life, we do things without thinking. We talk without thinking. We act without thinking. We make purchases without thinking. How often do we also do these same things without praying as well? These last few months have really been a lesson in prayer, trust, patience, and thinking. We have had to ask God for wisdom…
