House Update

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

I am sitting here in surprise, wonderful surprise as I type this post. I just received a call from the lawyer’s office (for the closing on the house). They quoted me the new closing cost figure. The Lord is blessing us as the final closing costs are lower than the good faith estimate now. I don’t know how it happened, but I’m praising Him. I can’t get a hold of D as he’s not available during the day (which is why him calling yesterday was really a blessing). So, he doesn’t even know yet.

We’ll be doing the final walk-through on our house Friday morning and then closing on the house after lunch. We’ll be spending the weekend in the house. It looks like D will be able to meet up with the new Major he will be working for/with this weekend as well. He spoke to him on the phone yesterday. That would really be a wonderful blessing. We’ll check out the area a bit while we’re there as well. We want to check out some locations of churches that we found online as well.

March will be spent getting the new house reading for move-in and packing up the old house. D will be getting out of these tasks once again. How does he manage to be in training every time this comes up??? Hmmm… He just grins when asked about it. And yes, he’ll be getting out of unpacking as well. That’s really nothing new either though. lol!

April will be spent celebrating munchkin’s birthday, moving, and cleaning the old house. Munchkin and I will unpack while D continues with his training.

Yes, there will be a lot of back and forth going on over the next couple of months, but it will be nice to have everything done. I also want to get a garden started at the new house and some flowers planted. I love having flowers all around. D will be happy he doesn’t have to help. 🙂

Well, that’s a basic rundown. It hasn’t been easy through all of the ups and downs of this process to continue praising and trusting the Lord. Yet, whenever something was not going right, I was able (though God’s strength) to give it all to Him. D would reassure me that everything would be fine. I would reassure D that everything would be fine. Then God would reassure us that everything is fine as it’s all in His hands.

I know that there will be more bumps in the road along the way, but the Lord will see us through those as well. Thank you Lord for your strength, patience, and never ending love!!

Wish I could help! If you are moving from or to the CO area, email me (from my blog) and we can see if it is the city I live in and we can make arrangements to help if you are. WONDERFUL news about the financing on your house!! 🙂
