Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m very grateful that we’re not getting the horrible weather that had hit other areas in the country, but it’s really cold out. Ok, so it’s really cold for Virginia! The wind just cuts right through you when you head outside.
We ran a few errands this morning as we needed to pick up a few items from the grocery store, and I wanted to stop by the thrift store. They’re currently running a 75% off all yellow tags sale. There are a lot of things with yellow tags that I wanted to see if they were still there. We’ll I was able to pick up a couple of jumpers that I’m converting into matching aprons for my daughter and I, a pair of jeans and a rain jacket w/hood for my daughter, 3 pampered chef kitchen tools (less than 75 cents each), and a couple of pictures.
After lunch, we were suppose to do some outside work, but we decided it was too cold and just hung out inside instead. We were each doing various tasks. Little Song Bird set up a store that had everything priced. We visited the store (the inventory and prices changed often) several times during the day. I worked on some projects that I needed to get done. D worked on some school work and just relaxed for the most part. He did get the futon moved upstairs, so that took some time.
Overall, we had a nice relaxing day. So, maybe the cold was a good thing, but BRRRRR!
