On Halloween night, we didn’t go trick-or-treating. We headed over to the October Fun Night at church. Little Song Bird had a blast. They had all kinds of different game booths set up and the kids could go as many times as they wanted. They had candy for the prizes, so she still came home with a good bit of candy (not too much though). They also had a moon bounce and puppet show.
All of the games were based on different things in scripture — like David and Goliath (they had to shoot a marshmallow with a slingshot through a whole in Goliath’s forehead). It was really neat and a lot of fun for the kids. They still could dress up if they wanted, but it was a safe, fun environment. They also had hot dogs, chips, drinks, and doughnuts.
Before heading over to the fun night, I made up some fun Halloween food. We had slimy green pasta with blood red sauce and molding parm cheese. Yum!!!
