Thankful Thursday: A Fresh Look

Posted in Family

Last week, we were struggling to get our footing under us as a sequence of events left us torn and broken.  As a family, we were hurting, and we received an outpouring of love, encouragement, and prayers from many individuals both online and in person.  The Lord used so many people to touch us, and there really is no way I can adequately express how much we appreciate it all. Over the weekend, the Lord brought a sweet puppy into our lives which allowed some healing to begin.  Oh, it hasn’t been a cake walk as new dogs require lots…

The Sweet Sound of Laughter

Posted in Family, and Photography

Last week, I really didn’t think we’d be hearing the true, pure laughter around our house any time soon.  We continued to joke around and go about living our lives, but our hearts weren’t really into what we were doing.  An under tone of sadness seemed to permeate the house and everything we did.  While we wanted to focus on the good times, it seemed that too many sad memories mingled with the pleasant memories.  Thankfully, our Wiley has helped bring back more of the wonderful memories while we make new memories with him. A Forever Home for Christmas

Posted in Family, and Photography

While I wasn’t ready to introduce a new furry buddy to our home yet, both Daddy and Munchkin really wanted to have a new puppy in time for Christmas. They couldn’t handle not having a dog to love on; they needed a dog to fill the huge void left by the passing of our other pup. This past weekend we decided to go away for the weekend.  We quickly packed up some clothes and overnight necessities and hopped into the truck.  We just needed to get out of the house.  We ended up coming home with this cute boy. I…

Saying Goodbye to a Beloved Pet

Posted in Family

When I scheduled my a Doggy Christmas post yesterday, I never imagined that I would soon be turning around and writing a post about having to say goodbye to our beloved dog. You see, this sweet pup entered our lives at 6 weeks old shortly after D and I were married.  He’s been my constant companion and shadow through good times and bad times.  He was my dog, and he went pretty much everywhere with me. We were blessed with many years with our precious boy.  He loved to explore with us and just spend time with us.  The Lord provided…

A Doggy Christmas Part 2 #ILoveMyk9 #CBias

Posted in Family

You may remember from A Doggy Christmas Part 1 that we purchase goodies to put together a new pet owner kit.  The original plan was for that kit to be used for a newly adopted dog from the humane society, but as it seems often happens around here, the plan changed.  Munchkin decided that she’d really like the kit to go to the dogs at the stable where she volunteers.  The dogs are healthy and loved, but Munchkin wants to spoil them with some extras that they don’t have like treats, chewies, and toys. We put together a kit that…
